Air Daffodil is a program which helps local people from Labrador travelling back and forth to St John’s for cancer treatment, etc. The program covers the cost for two trips per year for the patient and one trip for an escort. Anyone wanting to avail of this program should contact the Canadian Cancer Society in St. John’s at 1-888-753-6520 or Grenfell Health in St Anthony at 709-454-3399 for full details. We encourage all our members and their families to check on this availability.

On site for presentation of the donation were Matthew Piercey, Executive Director of Canadian Cancer Society, Gilbert Linstead, General Manager, Labrador Fishermen’s Union Shrimp Company Limited and Allan Hawco, Honorary Chair of the Canadian Cancer Society Take A One Night Stand Against Cancer Campaign.
