Industrial Electrician – Fish Processing Plants

Location – Lanse au Loup to Cartwright

  • Labrador Fishermen’s Union Shrimp Company Limited is a leading seafood processor in the
    south coast of Labrador, committed to quality and safety. We are looking for a dedicated and
    skilled Industrial Electrician to join our maintenance team to ensure optimal equipment
    during our busy season.

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Install, maintain and repair industrial electrical systems, motors, pumps and PLC
      systems i n a high volume processing environment
    • Troubleshoot electrical issues to minimize production downtime
    • Perform preventative maintenance on plant machinery, including conveyors,
      packaging equipment and refrigeration systems
    • Ensure all work complies with the Canadian Electrical Code and safety standards
    • Work with PLC systems to optimize automation
  • Requirements:

    • Valid Red Seal Electrical Certification
    • Report t o the Lead Electrician, supporting daily maintenance execution,
      troubleshooting, project work and operational reliability initiatives
    • 2+ years of experience in an industrial, manufacturing or food processing environment
    • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to read electrical schematics
    • Ability to work i n a fast-paced environment
    • Willing to travel along the coast of Labrador to service 6 processing plants
    • Position is full-time seasonal and salary will commensurate with company policy and
      work experience

2026 Employment Opportunities Available

Qualifications will determine suitability for the various positions available. LFUSCL requires employees who are energetic, motivated, and dedicated to their work. Training will be provided.

Duties Include:

  • Follow Instruction and report directly to the appropriate supervisor;

  • Ability to work as a part of a team;

  • To be aware of and follow hygiene and safety requirements;

  • Abide by company rules, regulations, and policies;

  • Continuously monitor product and report any discrepancies;

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks;
