Celebrating the Leadership and Legacy of Gilbert Linstead
After 45 remarkable years of service, Gilbert Linstead, our esteemed General Manager and CEO, has officially retired as of April 30, 2026. Gilbert’s long and dedicated career with the Labrador Shrimp Company has left an indelible mark on our organization, our people, and the communities we serve.
Gilbert joined the company in its early days and played an instrumental role in shaping what the Labrador Shrimp Company stands for today — a strong, sustainable enterprise rooted in respect for our environment, our employees, and our northern heritage. Through his steady leadership, Gilbert guided the company through decades of change and growth, helping build an organization that proudly contributes to the economic and social well-being of Labrador’s coastal communities.
Known for his integrity, vision, and genuine care for those around him, Gilbert’s influence reaches far beyond business. He has been a mentor to generations of employees, a steadfast advocate for sustainable fisheries, and a trusted voice in the industry across Newfoundland and Labrador and beyond.
